Helpful to include

  • Where the water collects, and how long it stays there.
  • Whether it reaches the house or stays out in the yard.
  • Whether it happens in dry spells as well as after rain.
  • How wide your gate or side yard access is.
  • Photos taken the day after rain, if you have any.

After you send it

What happens next

We have deliberately not published a response time, because a number we have not committed to operationally would be a promise we might not keep.

  1. Step 1: Enquiry review

Your details and photos provide context for follow-up. No response time is guaranteed.

  2. Step 2: Site visit where needed

Most grading jobs need one: elevations, access and where water can realistically go.

  3. Step 3: Written quote and scope

Areas worked, soil moved or imported, sod and landscaping, finished surface, exclusions.

  4. Step 4: You decide

If a contractor is available and provides a quote, compare the scope and exclusions before deciding.

Common questions

About quotes

Is there any cost or obligation to request a quote?
There is no cost or obligation to submit a preliminary review. It is not a diagnosis, professional inspection or guaranteed estimate. Any contractor work needs a separate agreed scope and price.
What information do you need to quote accurately?
The property location, a description of where water collects and when, and some idea of machine access. Photographs help more than anything else, particularly one taken along the ground beside the house and one of the area that holds water. Most jobs need a site visit before a firm number.
Do you need to visit the property?
For most jobs, yes. The variables that drive the price, how much soil has to move, where the water can be sent, whether a machine can get in, are things that have to be established on site. A qualified contractor must confirm those conditions before pricing work.
What happens to the information I send?
It is used to review and respond to your enquiry. Personal details and photos are not forwarded to independent contractors before applicable consent and handoff requirements are satisfied. See the privacy policy.
